Record Fairs 2024
BRINGING IT ALL BACK HOME
SPRING-SUMMER-WINTER
On the weekend of our last (and very busy) Record Fair of the year in Wrexham,somewhat of an (out of the blue) announcement - we have decided to trim our Record Fair Calendar back in 2024 to just 3 events, Spring-Summer-Winter and ALL in Mold at The Daniel Owen Community Centre. Obviously the Fairs will have less stalls, probably 18 but we aim to concentrate on bringing in the best selection of curated Record Dealers possible to fill the room for each event with something for everyone across all genres anmd formats. Although we conducted a survey on the popularity of our venues earler in the year (with interesting results) this has not been an overnight or hasty decision (and is based on a several factors) but it is NOT the end of our Record Fairs. We have waited for the completion of last event of the year before putting the information out there. Returning to concentrate all our focus on Mold, where we have lived for 43 years and where our Record shop is, just makes sense at this point in time. Supporting our Town has always been very important and Mold has so much to offer with a great range of Cafes, Bars, independent shops,Street Market attracting regular visitors from the local area and beyond. Our first Record Fair of 2024 will be at The Daniel Owen Community Centre in Mold on Saturday 20th April and our Fairs will continue to be FREE ENTRY.
A final thankyou to all the venues and visitors to our events in Birkenhead,Bromborough,Denbigh,Connahs Quay,Flint,Prestatyn,Wrexham.
Hopefully we will still see you at our Fairs in Mold next year and this change for 2024 offers new challenges (we have some experience of working with smaller spaces!!!!) and excitement for what we can achieve and build on locally at a venue that has always hosted busy Record Fairs.....planning is already underway for these events!
There is no change to our Record Shop which continues to keep us very busy even on days when we are not there,the opening times will continue to be Thursday,Friday and Saturday 10am-4pm opening weekly, this return to 'Mold only Fairs' next year will also mean that we can keep our shop open on the day of the Record Fairs.
